About the program

Promoting Optimal Development (POD) monitors and supports appropriate childhood development and provides tools that can screen for possible developmental delays. A series of questionnaires are sent to parents periodically to complete online. Results and age-specific activities are sent to parents, educators, and caretakers. Available in Spanish and English.

Our team then reviews, analyzes and interprets the results.

Result & Activities

Results, recommendations, follow-up, and activities to reinforce development and areas of opportunity at home, are sent to parents and educational institutions.

New questionnaires every 2 to 6 months depending on age range to follow-up

  • Referral zone: personalized recommendations specific to child’s needs.

Questionnaires used are standardized in the Latino population and approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Endorsed by the FEMSA Foundation and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). – Adopted by Fundación SORIANA and New Generations Foundation.

The DON program has been tested for more than 7 years. Modifications are continually being made to match the program with the needs of the communities served.
