About the program
Promoting Optimal Development (POD) monitors and supports appropriate childhood development and provides tools that can screen for possible developmental delays. A series of questionnaires are sent to parents periodically to complete online. Results and age-specific activities are sent to parents, educators, and caretakers. Available in Spanish and English.

Parents answer brief and concise online questionnaires that screen different areas of development according to age.
Information is reviewed and analized
Our team then reviews, analyzes and interprets the results.
Result & Activities
Results, recommendations, follow-up, and activities to reinforce development and areas of opportunity at home, are sent to parents and educational institutions.

New questionnaires every 2 to 6 months depending on age range to follow-up
POD monitors and supports children’s development.
Screens for possible concerns or delays, and provides activities that support growth and strengthen areas of opportunity.
What does
POD include?
Specific questionnaires for your child to measure development.
Individual report to follow-up with child´s results.
Questionnaires will be scored, reviewed and analyzed.
Letter to parents with results and at home activities that are specific to their child´s results:

Typical zone: General age-appropriate at-home activities.

Monitoring zone: Activities to strengthen a particular area and general age-appropriate at-home activities.

Referral zone: personalized recommendations specific to child’s needs.
POD is a proven and recognized program
Questionnaires used are standardized in the Latino population and approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Endorsed by the FEMSA Foundation and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). – Adopted by Fundación SORIANA and New Generations Foundation.
The DON program has been tested for more than 7 years. Modifications are continually being made to match the program with the needs of the communities served.
In Mexico, the DON Program has been used in more than 7,000 children in public and private institutions.
